Paton brings an array of expertise to Growthport™, spanning the realms of accounting and finance to strategic branding, digital marketing and graphic design. She has experience leading external and internal audit teams tasked with financial reporting, compliance, management controls and transactional controls. Furthermore, her passion for all things branding enables both her team and clients to reap the rewards of consistent and strategically crafted messaging and materials.

Will Beach

Board Advisor

Wil is a carreerCEO that has led a wide range of public and private companies in the financial services, human capital management, strategic consulting, marketing, specialty chemicals, and precision instrument fields. His extensive background includes running a dozen public and private companies including early-stage, turnarounds and those experiencing rapid growth.

In addition to his role at Growthport™, Wil also serves as a trustee for private trusts and as a strategic advisor for growth-oriented HCM and technology firms. Wil has written numerous articles on the M&A process and the critical importance of people in sustaining growth and profitability. He has also benefited from serving as a Managing Director/Advisor for an investment banking firm, board member of charitable/industry organizations, and time in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Adrienne Pierre

CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER

Adrienne has over 25 years of marketing, business development and sales expertise with Fortune 500 companies to startups generating over $100M in revenues. She has been a part of management due diligence teams for 2 M&A activities and 1 startup IPO. At Growthport™, Adrienne is responsible for marketing, business development, strategic partnerships and sales activities to drive client acquisitions, revenues and enhanced services targeting cannabis retailers, distributors, cultivators, microbusinesses and ancillary service providers.

Mark Thevenot

Product Developer

Mark is a seasoned technology professional with over 25 years of experience in customer advocacy, user experience design, elearning development, product development, and other information technology management services. Prior to joining Growthport™, Mark held leadership positions in Fortune 500 and startup companies and consulting services in the retail space. He uses technology and automation to simplify user experiences, eliminating human errors and maintaining compliance with the goal of advancing customer satisfaction.

Ben Kingston

General Counsel

Ben is a corporate and cannabis law attorney. He is certified as a cannabis expert by the Association of Certified Commercial Cannabis Experts (ACCCE). He was most recently counsel for a large California-based investment fund and its 20+ portfolio companies operating in the cannabis and hemp spaces. In that role, he oversaw all legal aspects of licensing and compliance, risk management, IP acquisition, CDFA and FDA regulatory matters, and banking relationships. Ben believes operators in the cannabis industry must, first and foremost, implement efficient but comprehensive risk management protocols commensurate with the amount of risk the business is willing to accept in pursuit of its objectives. Once a risk management framework is in place, the company can build on its successes and efficiencies with a level of confidence it would not otherwise have. Winging it and figuring it out as you go along closes, not opens doors and typically spells disaster in the high-risk, highly regulated, and ultra-competitive cannabis industry.
